What's your opinion about Asylum Seekers detention?

There is no such thing as an ‘illegal’ asylum seeker. Asylum seekers should not be made to feel like criminals. The period of detention should be brief and in comfortable surroundings, with access to appropriate counseling and medical treatment if necessary, and good nutrition.

- How long do you think it should be humanly to stay in detention away from family?

Families should not be separated.

Prison Libraries

A Prison Libraries Journal edition earlier this year include 2 items of particualr interes: Working Out - a moving account of one prisoner's experience working in a public library- and Sharing Good Practice Workshops - 4 in house shemes presented to delegates at the Prison Libraries Groups's Annual Conference, the first of which from HMP Haverigg complements Storybook dads.
